Whitey is listed just under Osama Bin Laden on the FBI’s most wanted list.

The FBI thinks they have a picture of him that was taken in Italy and is shifting their hunt for him over to Europe now. They have recently met with Scotland Yard officials.

A pair of medics from the nearby Navy base have volunteered to help at the  stadium. Their base was evacuated and they found themselves wanting to help the public that has done so much for them.

They described the majority of what they were treating as people being “worried sick”. The people are so stressed out that they were causing themselves physical ailments. They concluded it does not help to be stressed out about the possibility of losing your home and then to sit in front of a TV all day and watch the homes burn. Its a vicious cycle.

Both medics were involve int he Katrina aftermath and in this disaster there was a marked difference in the way things are being done. One of the medics said, there is noticeable organized structure to the relief effort.

Heres to learning lessons.

Have you ever seen those big brochure and sign holders? They hang them on the walls in places that will have people loitering around for whatever reason, usually in the touristy type places.

I have been thinking about getting some, then I would talk to the business owners and see what it would take to let me hang one in an established place. Then rent out the slot to advertisers that wanted to put their pamphlet in the box for people to take and read.

I think it is a good idea and stands a bit of a chance at successful. Like all things in life you get back what you put into it. And I intend to give it everything I got and then some! That is just the way I am in spite of it all.

President Bush boosted aid to the 7 counties in California affected by the raging fires. This will speed money to the people who sustained a loss to property and their insurance will not cover it, and it will assit the local governments in getting all their firefighters and other emergency personnel paid.

The counties covered in the major disaster declaration are   Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Ventura. 1500 homes have been destroyed in the last 3 days in these places, and more than a million people have been evacuated.
