Where I grew up we celebrate everything. EVERYTHING. There are even festivals for rice, and frogs. It’s just our culture. If something makes you happy, you have a huge blow out party in its honor. Some of them last a few hours, some days, some are just on the weekends. The most important festivals though are the ones that last for months. They open every Friday at 5 pm and carry on until Sunday evening. In the oldest city in America, theres an event like that. St. Augustine Artwalk, is dedicated to giving artists the opportunity to display their work. The best part about it is, its free! It starts on December 7th and 8th and will continue on the first weekend of every month there after. There are even trolley rides , sight seeing tours and parking 100% free. It’s an absolutely brilliant idea. It gives artists from all walks of life the opportunity do display their work and learn about others. Whether its photography, painting, music, sculpting, there is a place for your interest at the Artwalk. The First Friday Weekend Art Walk is most assuredly going to be a huge success.

Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers has filed suit claiming that the name of their show Californication impedes on the rights to the title of an album they released in 1999. A character of the show Dani California is also named after another song on that album. Kiedis is seeking and injunction barring the use of both names from the show. Kiedis states that its misleading to fans who associate those names with the work of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band is also seeking damages and profits gained from the illegal use of their name.
