Logan children finally found

I wish this story ended on a better note. I was watching Dr Phil a while back and I saw a story about a mother desperately trying to find her children. Her husband had taken them and told her he hid them. He used to to torture her for years. He was even put in prison for kidnapping them and wouldn’t tell her where they were. Finally, he admitted to killing them.

Art Walk Time

Where I grew up we celebrate everything. EVERYTHING. There are even festivals for rice, and frogs. It’s just our culture. If something makes you happy, you have a huge blow out party in its honor. Some of them last a few hours, some days, some are just on the weekends. The most important festivals though are the ones that last for months. They open every Friday at 5 pm and carry on until Sunday evening. In the oldest city in America, theres an event like that. St. Augustine Artwalk, is dedicated to giving artists the opportunity to display their work. The best part about it is, its free! It starts on December 7th and 8th and will continue on the first weekend of every month there after. There are even trolley rides , sight seeing tours and parking 100% free. It’s an absolutely brilliant idea. It gives artists from all walks of life the opportunity do display their work and learn about others. Whether its photography, painting, music, sculpting, there is a place for your interest at the Artwalk. The First Friday Weekend Art Walk is most assuredly going to be a huge success.

Showtime sued

Anthony Kiedis of Red Hot Chili Peppers has filed suit claiming that the name of their show Californication impedes on the rights to the title of an album they released in 1999. A character of the show Dani California is also named after another song on that album. Kiedis is seeking and injunction barring the use of both names from the show. Kiedis states that its misleading to fans who associate those names with the work of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band is also seeking damages and profits gained from the illegal use of their name.

Crazy weather

Filed under:News — posted by Tom on @ 9:41 pm

The weather lately is making me really miserable. Its hot one day cold the next I can’t stand it. I wish it would just make up its mind and be hot or be cold.  Every time the weather changes I feel awful. I now understand what my grandmother used to say about shooting the weather man, even though I know its not his fault.  Yesterday I was in shorts, today I am in layers under a blanket. Its ridiculous.

Election time

Right now in my state its election time which means its mud slinging time. I very seldom watch television but I do listen to the radio during the day and I have to say I am utterly disgusted at the mud slinging campaigns going on. There is literally an ad that says “my daddy is better than your daddy” I mean really… If you are old enough to have completed the school and experience it takes to run for political office is there really a need to act so childish?
