Cases Dismissed

Criminal cases in California are being dismissed. this is because there is a shortage of judges, and there is an extreme amount of cases to be tried.

Two cases were dismissed today, 7 felonies will be dismissed tomorrow.

The county has 35 judges with more than 1200 are waiting for a trial. If you do the math, you can see there is a real problem in Riverside county.

They have been sending jurors into court as late as 4:30 Pm to start a trial. They had thought they would have to start dismissing cases back in April.  The fact that they are just now starting to dismiss is proof of the judges dedication to getting it done, but there is only so much they can do.
